About Department of Civil Engineering:

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2012 with an intake of 60.

The Department of Civil Engineering has a wide array of most modern laboratory equipment that can adequately cater to the varied demands of Diploma, B.Tech., students along with different consultancy and research requirements. The department has state of the art infrastructure facilities. It consists of class rooms with LCD projectors and a dedicated departmental library with a decent collection of books in addition to the College Central Library.

The syllabus prescribed for both Diploma, B.Tech, courses is a fine blend of theoretical knowledge and practical applications. The syllabus is framed as per current developments in the field of Civil Engineering, with a clear focus on bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry demands. The department is strengthened with highly qualified and dedicated faculty members having rich teaching, research and industrial experience.

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2012 with a modest intake of 30 students. The Department started Diploma course in Structural Engineering in the year 2013 with an intake of 60 students. The Department is headed by Assit.Prof. V.Praveen Kumar who has more than 1 years of teaching and 3 years of industrial experience.

These Objectives Are As Follows:

To provide students with the fundamental technical knowledge and skills in mathematics, science and engineering to recognize and solve problems in the areas of structural design, geo-technical and environmental engineering.
To provide students with the necessary skills and practical experience to fulfill their professional duties and responsibilities in teamwork, ethics, technical leadership, business acumen and lifelong learning.
To make the students be in a position to practice professionally in various positions in industry or government and succeed in graduate or other professional schools.
To mould the students to become future engineers, scientists, researchers, and innovators and make substantial contributions to the society of civil engineers.
To prepare the students to be successful engineers or managers meeting the global industrial requirements.
To make the students put constant efforts to improve the living quality of all walks of life by solving wide range of problems.

The Department will be the recognized leader for excellence in Civil Engineering education that serve as vital source of leaders who are prepared to meet Nation’s current and future requirements for safe, efficient and sustainable infrastructure.

Motivation

Civil Engineering is the art of directing the great sources of power in nature for the use and convenience of man, as the means of production and of traffic in states, both for external and internal trade, as applied in the construction of roads, bridges, aqueducts, canals, river navigation and docks for internal intercourse navigation by artificial power for the purposes of commerce, and in the construction and application of machinery, and in the drainage of cities and towns.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2011 with the vision of nurturing technically competent and socially responsible Engineering professions.

The Mechanical Engineers of today are multidisciplinary, with knowledge from other branches of engineering and centre of all technical advancements.

Industrial development of any country depends upon the quality of Mechanical Engineers that are being produced; and the economical status of the country depends on the quantum of industrial development. With 11 years of sound standing, Sri Sai Institute of Technology & Science, Rayachoty, YSR Dist., is in a better to established Mechanical Engineering branch, meeting the huge budget requirements. We are confident of producing meritorious Mechanical Engineers to meet the ever increasing industrial needs.

The department has the guidance from the most experienced personalities like “The Chairman Dr. G. Thimma Reddy”, having 42 years of experience and “The HOD, C. DORABABU,” having 08 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering departmental activities.
